Johan sports a brown mullet with slight curls on the ends. His haircut at times looks messy after a haircut from his mom. Johan's Mother | 성주연 (Seong Ju-Yeon)From Sino-Korean 珠 "precious stone, gem, jewel, pearl" or 周 "circumference" (ju) and 姸 "beautiful" or 娟 "beautiful, graceful" (yeon).Seong Ju-Yeon is a poor single mother who worked as a hairdresser before her she is bedridden. She is losing her eyesight from a hereditary disease, made worse with diabetes. She gave Johan, Mira and Zack their wish bracelets.In the Cult Arc, she got tricked into joining a cult that exploits drugs to get avid followers who believe that 666 of the chosen ones will reach Eden if they pray to the God Dog. She experiences hallucinations and psychosis breakdowns from the drug addiction. In her breakdowns, she is very aggressive and will be physically abusive towards everyone including herself. She is admitted to the rehabilitation centre for drug addictions after the cult is cracked down and the arc is resolved. She is the reason for Johan's insistence in joining the crew under Gun in the first place.Currently, Ju-Yeon has accepted her blindness, as diabetes worsens the complications and the time she spends being blind in a day becomes more and more frequent. Because of this, she mostly recognizes people by their breathing and footsteps. She'd know if Zack had boxing practice before visiting, she'd know if Mira is trying her best to cry silently. She thinks Johan never visited her since she had hurt him during the time she was in the cult, but she couldn't listen to Johan's footsteps when she sleeps.
